Biography: Dr. Ashraf Dewan obtained BSc and MSc (Geography) from the University of Dhaka and a PhD (Environmental Management) from Okayama University, Japan. He was a faculty member in the Department of Geography, University of Dhaka for more than a decade. Currently, he is a teaching & research academic in the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) at Curtin University, Australia. His area of interest is urban climate, natural hazards, health geography and climate change adaptation. He has published two books and more than 100 peer reviewed papers.
